We travel around all of the North Shore with 47 stops over a two-weekly timetable, including 7 Retirement Villages and 10 Council Housings. On board your Mobile Library you will find...
We also have free internet and access to electronic databases such as Encyclopedia Britannica and World Book Encyclopedia.
How do I join the Mobile Library? You may use your North Shore Libraries card to borrow books from us. If you are not a library member, you can sign up online, or come along with one form of I.D. and proof of your North Shore address and we can sign you up straight away! For more information, check our Membership Policy. Can I request items? Yes, you can request any North Shore Library item for $1.00. We will hold your requested item on the Mobile Library for one fortnight. What are the loan periods and charges? We have various loan periods and charges. Generally, books are checked out to you for 4 weeks, magazines for 2 weeks, and DVDs, videos, and Bestseller items for 1 week. For a list of charges, check our Fees and Charges. What happens if the bus is off the road? Occassionally the bus is off the road for routine maintenance. We will notify you well in advance. However, if the mobile library doesn’t arrive at a scheduled stop, please phone the North Shore City Actionline on 486-8400.
