This fishing autobiography ranges from the boyhood quest for perch in Yorkshire's West Riding, through salmon and carp fishing, to his first love, wild trout on small streams in north Yorkshire. It is by a child of the sixties for whom fly fishing is 'rock and roll fishing', and whose angling references are very likely to be Frank Zappa or Hemingway.
