Robbie Coltrane, Scottish star of Harry Potter and Cracker, hires a classic Jaguar car and decides to travel from London to Glasgow avoiding all motorways and A-roads and traveling only on B-roads. His journey takes him through villages and towns that have retained their unique identity, where he meets an eccentric and very British cast of characters. His observations are made kindly and thoughtfully, having no wish to exaggerate the idiosyncrasies of the people he meets. Altogether a fascinating portrait of the Britain that tourists often miss.
